Main Window

In the main window you can see your island. You can move around and zoom in our out by dragging gestures or tap on a building to select it.

The buttons on the top of the main window have the following meaning:

Opens a menu for various game function, see Chest Dialog
Open your research. This icon may appear on top of an icon indicating the current research. A small bar below the icon shows your current research progress.
Shows your current stock in gems. You need gems to activate certain game functions. While your settlers are capable of collecting some gems throughout the game, additional gems can be acquired as a reward for watching ads and can be purchased for real money (Android / iOS only).
Shows your current reputation which rises as your settlement grows. With enough reputation you will reach a higher level which will enable power-ups you can choose in this dialog.
Opens the Settings Dialog.
This is shown if you have a new message. Tap on it to read.

The buttons on the bottom of the main window are primarily used to manage construction:

Start construction mode. This will display possible building locations on your map. If a suitable position is selected, you can start construction.
In construction mode select this to start construction of a building.
Build a signpost at the selected position on the map.
Start building a path at the selected position on the map.
Tap twice to demolish the selected building, signpost or path. You can also demolish trees by spending gems.
Show additional information about the selected building.
