There are only minor new game contents in this update, but a lot has happened under the hood. For a longer time we were bound to use quite old framework versions in our game due to vast changes in the basic architecture of those libraries during the last months and years. For this update we have revised and restructured the whole project to work with the latest versions:
- Upgraded Qt to 5.15.2
- Upgraded Firebase to 6.16.1
The game is now prepared for upcoming store requirements and hopefully will also run more stable.
We have also included a dialog that allows you to decide whether you want to transfer data for personalized advertising. We fully understand if you do not want this. However, we thank those who activate it, as it is a way to support us financially. You can also open the dialog at any time in the settings behind the light bulb .
In addition, we have revised a few things in the balancing.
The production of coal in mines was doubled in order to not put in more coal than you get out without upgrades.
Also the recipes for the blue and yellow bottles were adjusted. Previously, the blue bottle needed bricks and the yellow burgers, now it is the other way around.
The most noticeable change, however, might be the split of the blacksmith research. Swords and jewelry are now researched separately. Additionally, you now get the option for the blacksmith and smelter to specify what to produce.
In addition, we improved and fixed the following things:
- Hopefully fixed:
- no map reset available after fresh installation
- crash in Firebase on exit
- missing trade wagon icon in statistics
- xp icon on ingame screen overlaps gem icon
- possible crash in QtWebView
We wish you a lot of fun
Andreas and Steffen
